Audi is to build a production car based on the Roadjet concept seen at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this month, according to Automotive News. AN quotes Audi CEO Martin Winterkorn as saying: "a vehicle derived from the Roadjet will be available soon". Another Audi executive told the paper that "we will position it (the Roadjet) above the current A4 with a significantly higher price." The Roadjet is a five-door, high-roofed station wagon with a high seating position, more like the A3 Sportback than the current A4 Avant estate in its styling. But although it has a high-riding, four-wheel drive chassis, it is not the upcoming Q5: that will be more of a crossover-style SUV, as Audi's answer to the BMW X3, Land Rover Freelander etc. The Sportback name is more likely, though it is uncertain whether it will be badged "A5", indicating its position between the A4 and A6 ranges, or "A4", indicating that this model-range is to grow significantly larger in its next iteration. The concept car seen in Detroit was fitted with a 300bhp version of the new 3.2-litre V6 direct-injection petrol engine and a seven-speed version of the DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) transmission, a combination likely to make production.

ouaip... et vu la plaque d'immatriculation, j'ai dans l'idée qu'il ne s'agit pas d'un modèle d'exposition ni d'un véhicule d'essai mais bien le résultat d'une demande particulière d'un client... Il n'est d'ailleurs pas encore possible de commander le Q7 S-Line tel que présenté à Essen...

mouais... on parle du nom d'une couleur... accepter ce genre d'exception sur une dénomination, c'est ouvrir la boîte de pandorre et passer son temps à gérer des exceptions... Vive l'Europe... çà me fait penser à d'autres remarques du genre, inévitables et dérisoires... Exemple: Je pars avec mon Q7 faire le plein chez Q8...

MOSCOW. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Audi increased car sales through its official dealers in Russia 49% from the previous year to 6,115 cars in 2005, said Audi Russia, part of Volkswagen Group Rus. The Audi A6 model was the sales leader in Russia, with 2,357 vehicles sold in 2005, up 47.6% from the previous year. Audi will offer seven new models in Russia in 2006. It will start selling the Audi Q7 in both Russia and in Europe in March 2006.
